Hello. I wonder how to proceed regarding the depreciation of stocks. When writing off the stock with 3% how it is handled in the accounting. When I took over the accounting, write-downs of the inventory were posted to the account 1411 in the balance sheet. stock and the change each month is posted on 1410 and 4990. My question is how do I handle the write down that has an amount of 400 000 kr? We are approaching a financial close and hard to find answers. In previous years, the write-down has been lower, but I don't see how the person handled this. It's an amount a year ago, it just changes with a new amount, feels completely wrong.
